Know Your Code

Blair Robert Bryngelson

As an honors graduate with a B.S. in Game Software Development at Westwood College of Denver Colorado, I continue to look for new opportunities with a development team where I can build my skills and expand my knowledge.

In August of 07, I was hired as a project developer for Blue Dot Solutions. A Denver based, mobile application solutions provider.

Now, let me tell you a little bit about how I got where I am today. Through the course of my higher education, I have taken on a number of different development projects.

In the beginning, I would write small gui applications such as this Windows Optimizer application to test my skills and try new things. I wrote several small console applications in and out of class while we learned the basics of C++.

Developing a number of small and medium scale games with several different teams, has been an amazing learning experience and also very rewarding. Written in C++, my first notable game project was The Woo which was worked on over the course of three terms until we completed and submitted our game to the 2006 Independent Games Festival.

After The Woo, I worked on Lord Of War, another great project that tested my skills in a scripting programming environment. I am currently design lead on our senior project, Twisted which is a 3D Tornado game.

In addition to games, I have designed and developed a few different websites. One of my first sites being BuiltToBeRocked.com. After my first site, I worked on a number of sites with HTML and CSS and soon after was hired at Digital Access.

At Digital Access, I worked as one of 5 original developers conceptualizing, designing, and developing a state-of-the-art Real Estate web service called Flying Frog. This was another great opportunity for me to expand my programming language base with C# and VB. There were alot of things that made this project great. I was designing the product for months with the team, so I always had a great vision for what the final product needed to be. In addition, I was learning and implementing some of the latest technologies in web development such as ASP.net 2.0 and AJAX.

Since Total Agent, I worked with Health Shop, re-designing their website BenefitsBLVD.com. Another site on the old belt-o-sites.

Other sites I have developed include:
